CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj informed that if the pandemic situation gets worse in the coming months, then the second term of examinations will not be held and Term 1 marks will be considered final.
CBSE Class 10, 12 Term 2 Exams 2022: Looking at the rising cases of coronavirus across nation, students have started demanding cancellation of CBSE Class 10, 12 Term 2 Board Exams 2022. Taking to Twitter, many students expressed concern and posted tweets with hashtags #cancelboardpariksha, #CancelBoardExam2022, #BoardExam. They are afraid that the offline exams can affect their health and they may get infected. However, the CBSE is yet to announce the CBSE date sheet 2022 for Term 2 exams.
However, in the circular released earlier by the board, it said that the term 2 exams will be conducted only if the Covid-19 pandemic situation gets better.
In the meantime, states such as Assam, Bihar, Rajasthan, Maharashtra have decided to continue with the board exams as scheduled, however, class 10, 12 exams in West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh will depend on the Covid-19 pandemic situations. Uttar Pradesh has announced to release the UP Board date sheet 2022 for class 10, 12 exams after the election.
According to Sanyam Bhardwaj, CBSEβs controller of examinations, βIf the situation gets worse, only then the second term of examinations will be cancelled. Marks obtained in the first phase will be considered final and based on them, the results will be prepared. But if such a situation does not arise and the second term is held successfully, the final result will be decided on the basis of 50-50 per cent marks of these two terms.β
In the meantime, the students can check subject-wise CBSE Sample Papers and marking scheme for Class 10, 12 Term 2 Examinations 2022 online on the official website.
On the other side, the CBSE is likely to release the CBSE Class 10, Class 12 Board Exam 2022 Term 1 exam results anytime soon.
