Will UP Board Class 10, 12 exams 2022 be delayed due to increase in COVID-19 cases?

As per reports, the UPMSP will be conducting the UP Board 10th, 12th exams 2022 in March, soon after the Panchayat elections conclude. 

UP Board exams 2022: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) conducts Class 10, 12 examinations every year in March and April and the UP Board Time Table is generally released in October/November. However, this year, the state board has not released the timetable yet. The UPMPS officials had earlier stated that the state board exams will be conducted only after the assembly elections. The elections in UP will begin on February 10 and will be held in 7 phases. It will conclude on March 7. Moreover, the nation is currently reeling under the third wave of COVID-19, contributing to the delay in the release of the UP Board Time Table 2022. The cases have been rising sharply in the state and across the nation and it remains to be seen what the final decision will be regarding the conduct of board exams.

However, it is being reported that the UP Board exams 2022 for classes 10 and 12 will commence on March 24.

Will UP Board exams 2022 Class 10, 12 be postponed?

UPMSP officials have repeatedly asserted that there will be no delay in UP Board Class 10, 12 exams. The practical exams are expected to be held in the third week of February. Reportedly, the UP Board exams 2022 will be conducted in the fourth week of March.

When will UPMSP release the UP Board Time Table 2022?

The UP Board is likely to release the UP Board Time Table 2022 soon. The UP Board Time Table 2022 Class 10 as well as the UP Board Time Table 2022 Class 12 will be released on the official website of the state board at upmsp.edu.in. It will be released simultaneously for all the three streams for Class 12, Science, Commerce and Arts. 

More than 50 lakh students of class 10th and 12th who are preparing for the upcoming UP Board High School and Intermediate board exams have been eagerly witing for the release of UP Board exam dates 2022.

UP Board exams: What happened last year?

Last year too, the state board had said that it plans to hold the exams. It was only after PM Narendra Modi on June 1 announced the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 exams, UPMSP announced the cancellation of UP Board Class 12 exams on June 3. The central government had left it on the state governments to decide for their respective board examinations. Following which, many state boards chose to cancel their board examinations in the larger interest of students. UP Board had decided to cancel Class 10 exams prior to the decision of cancelling Class 12 exams. The result for UP Board Class 10, 12 was prepared on the basis of alternative assessment.
