Dr. Atmanand appointed as new Director of MDI Gurgaon

The Founder Dean of MDI Murshidabad, Prof Atmanand has been associated with MDI Gurgaon for more than 20 years. He is serving as Independent Director on the Board of Central Bank of India too.

Dr. Atmanand, Director, MDI Murshidabad has been given an additional charge of MDI Gurgaon with effect from December 15, 2020. He will be taking over Dr Pawan Kumar Singh, who is currently the Director of Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon. Dr. Pawan Kumar is stepping down from his position and will be joining IIM Tiruchirappalli as its new Director.

The Founder Dean of MDI Murshidabad, Prof Atmanand has been associated with MDI Gurgaon for more than 20 years. He is serving as Independent Director on the Board of Central Bank of India too. Previously, he worked as the independent Director on the Board of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL). He has held various responsibilities including Member of the State Finance Commission¸ Government of Bihar and the Planning Commission, the Government of India. 

Dr Atmanand is a professor, writer, deep researcher and a great leader. He has authored 16 books and published above 90 research papers in refereed national and international journals. He was the PhD examiner and has guided about 30 theses and dissertation work. 

A senior Professor of Economics, he specializes in Public Enterprise Management, Management of Energy and Environment, Power, Financing Infrastructure Projects, Public Policy and Management, Oil and Gas, Steel, Project Finance, Economic and Business Environment.
