GITAM Business School records 20 percent increase in average salaries

Firms in spaces such as conglomerates, automobiles, energy, logistics, technology, telecommunications, and media also made a sizable number of offers at the recently concluded placement drive for its 2023 MBA batches across all three campuses—Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.

GITAM School of Business Placements 2023: Management placements at the GITAM School of Business, GITAM (Deemed to be University) have gotten off to a strong start, with offers coming in from consulting, BFSI, IT, and FMCG, which figured among the key sectors, breaching the post-pandemic hiring records. The institute registered a 20 percent increase in average salaries this year compared to the previous batches.

Firms in spaces such as conglomerates, automobiles, energy, logistics, technology, telecommunications, and media also made a sizable number of offers at the recently concluded placement drive for its 2023 MBA batches across all three campuses—Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.

Moreover, recruiters from 43 companies visited the Bengaluru campus as part of the drives, while the Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad campuses had 20 to 22 companies visit them. Among the recruiters were several blue-chip companies, including KPMG, Deloitte, Colgate Palmolive, Accenture, Perfetti, Asian Paints, Reliance Industries, Philips Domestic Appliances, MRF Tyres, Ernst & Young, Emami, Factset, Bosch, HDFC Life, TVS, and Federal Bank, among others.

Commenting on the improvement in the placement record, Professor Amit Bhadra, Dean of GITAM School of Business, said, "Along with quality education by world-class faculty and the best of the accreditations and affiliations, quality placement has been a strong part of GITAM’s legacy. Not only is there a visible hike in the highest package, but the school is recording a constant increase in average packages. These two must be considered as one of the key indicators while considering the quality of a B-school."
