IIM Nagpur director receives prestigious 7th Dr PN Singh Memorial Award

Amid the ongoing pandemic situation, the event was conducted online. Dr Bhimaraya Metri received the award in a virtual event on September 26, 2021.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur Director, Dr Bhimaraya Metri has been awarded the prestigious Dr PN Singh Memorial Award by Higher Education Forum (HEF) for Outstanding Academic Leadership, the official press note informed. “HEF is a community of individuals and practitioners of Higher Education & with more than 4000 members is the largest think tank in the space of higher education in India. Dr PN Singh was a legendary Corporate Leader and Academic who was a patron of HEF,” it further added. Amid the ongoing pandemic situation, the event was conducted online. Dr Bhimaraya Metri received the award in a virtual event on September 26, 2021.

“Dr Bhimaraya Metri is a distinguished academician, renowned teacher, researcher and astute administrator. An outstanding leader in the space of management education, Dr Metri has earlier worked in leadership roles as Director-IIM Tiruchirappalli, Dean- L&T Institute of Project Management Vadodara, IMI Delhi, MDI Gurgaon and leading research programmes at BITS Pilani,” the press release said.

Under the leadership of Director Metri, IIM Nagpur is witnessing exponential growth with diverse and industry pertinent short and long-duration programmes. Recently, the IIM Nagpur also launched its satellite campus at Pune. In the past, Dr Bhimaraya Metri has been bestowed with several prestigious awards and recognitions.

According to the press note, Dr Metri is the only serving IIM Director to receive the country’s prestigious AIMA-Kewal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education. Distinguished Services Award by Asia Pacific Decision Sciences Institute, Top Director Award by CSR; Prerana Purshkar- Distinguished Alumnus Award, and ‘Top Rankers Excellence Award for Outstanding Academic Leadership’ by Top Rankers Management Club, New Delhi,
