IIM Raipur admits more girls than boys in PG Management Programme
As per reports, IIM Raipur in Chhattisgarh has admitted more girls than boys to its postgraduate management course for the 2022-24 academic session.
An official from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur in Chhattisgarh has confirmed that the business school has admitted more girls than boys to its postgraduate management course for the 2022-24 academic session.
IIM Raipur's media coordinator Vishal Meena said that around 205 girls got admission to the institute's flagship management programme against 125 boys, as reported by Business Standard.
He said, "Of the students enrolled for the two-year course in the current academic session, 62 per cent were girls and 38 per cent boys."
The institute was set up in 2010 and this is a notable increase as in the previous academic session, there were 120 girls and 146 boys who were pursuing the course.Â
Ministry of Education's tweet reads,"@iimraipur has overturned the gender equation by admitting more girls than boys despite its gender-neutral admission process, a feat worth emulating for other institutes. Many IIMs are also moving in the direction of more gender-balanced classrooms."

IIM Raipur secures Rank 14 in NIRF ranking 2022
The Ministry of Education announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022 on July 15, 2022, based on various parameters. IIM Raipur secured rank 14 in the NIRF ranking 2022. This year the business school moved one position up in these rankings.
