MICA Director appointed as vice-chairman of IIAS' governing body

In addition, the Government of India has also re-constituted the Society of the IIAS, Shimla, making Dr Mehta and 26 other experts as members.

The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has appointed Dr Shailendra Raj Mehta, President and Director, MICA, Ahmedabad, as the Vice-Chairman of the Governing Body of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS). In addition, the Government of India has also re-constituted the Society of the IIAS, Shimla, making Dr Mehta and 26 other experts as members. Set up by the Ministry of Education, in 1964, the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) is a research institute based in Shimla. 

Earlier, in 2020, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, had appointed Dr Shailendra Raj Mehta, President and Director, MICA, Ahmedabad, as a member of the Mission High- Level Committee (MHLC) of the Indian Knowledge System. The MHLC was constituted to provide overall guidance for the policy framework for the Indian Knowledge System’s functioning, facilitate intra-MoE and inter-ministerial coordination, approve the implementation committee’s recommendations and decisions, and identify financial resources and plan action and deliverables.

About MICA, Ahmedabad 

MICA Ahmedabad offers admission to postgraduate diploma programmes in advertising and brand management, marketing analytics, digital communication management and media and entertainment management.

Admissions to MICA are conducted through the MICAT entrance exam. The business schools conduct MICAT twice a year across 48 cities. The MICAT application form 2022 for phase 2 was released on November 23. The last date to fill and submit the application form of MICAT 2022 for phase 2 was January 16. MICA, Ahmedabad released the MICAT admit card 2022 for phase 2 on January 25. The MICAT entrance exam 2022 for phase 2 was conducted on January 29.
