NIRF Ranking 2023: This recognition is a testament to IIMA’s world-class education, says IIM-A Director
The NIRF rankings, conducted annually by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, evaluate higher education institutions across various parameters such as teaching, learning resources, research, graduation outcomes, and perception.
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has retained its position as the leading Indian management institute for the fourth consecutive year in the rankings list announced by National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings, today.
Commenting on the win, Professor Bharat Bhasker, Director, IIMA, said, “We are delighted to be acknowledged as the best management institute in India by the Ministry of Education's NIRF 2023 rankings. This recognition is a testament to IIMA’s world-class education, and the cutting-edge research conducted by our faculty, which has a significant influence on business and public policy, alongside the unrelenting efforts of our students, year after year. This further strengthens our resolve to uphold high standards of excellence in every aspect of what we do and continue to contribute meaningfully to our nation’s growth.”
The NIRF rankings, conducted annually by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, evaluate higher education institutions across various parameters such as teaching, learning resources, research, graduation outcomes, and perception. Since the ranking started in 2016, IIMA has been placed in the top position in 2017, 2018 and then again from 2020 onwards.
The eighth edition of the NIRF management ranking 2023 along with other categories was announced today, June 6, 2023 at 11 am. Followed by IIM-A, IIM Bangalore also retained the second spot, however, this year, IIM Kozhikode replaced IIM Calcutta from the third spot.
IIM Calcutta has moved to the fourth position this year while IIT Delhi has grabbed the fifth position and IIM Lucknow has retained the sixth position. National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai came seventh. This year, IIM Indore has moved to the eighth position and Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur has moved to the ninth spot. IIT Bombay has replaced IIT Madras at the 10th spot.
