University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has urged all the education institutions in the country to fix the last date of undergraduate (UG) admission process once the CBSE Class 12 result 2022 is declared. CBSE Class 12 result date 2022 has not yet been announced by the board yet, however, the officials have confirmed that the CBSE results 2022 will be released by July end on the official website; i.e. cbse.gov.in.

The UGC Chairman posted on Twitter, “UGC requests all the higher educational institutions to fix the last date of their undergraduate admission process after declaration of result of Class 12 by CBSE so as to provide sufficient time to such students for admission in undergraduate courses.”

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked the UGC to direct all institutes to commence the undergraduate (UG) admission process considering CBSE Class 12 result date 2022. As per reports, CBSE approached the UGC after the Mumbai University Admissions 2022 began.

“It has come to the notice that some universities in India, especially in Maharashtra, have started registration in undergraduate courses for the session (2022-23) and their last date is in the first week of July. It is, therefore, requested that all the universities may please be directed to fix the last date of their undergraduate admission process keeping in mind the date of result declaration of Class XII by CBSE,” CBSE wrote in a letter to UGC.

Later, UGC in a notice said that “It has come to the notice that some universities have started registration in undergraduate courses for the session (2022-23). In this scenario, the students from CBSE will be deprived of admission in the undergraduate courses if the last date is fixed by the universities prior to the CBSE result declaration. The CBSE conducted the Class 12 exams in two terms this year to nullify the impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The performance of CBSE term 1 has already been communicated to schools."
