The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) India announced an online quiz competition for school students – the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge. According to the reports, students studying in Classes 6 to 9 are eligible to participate in the competition. An official statement released in this regard reads, “The Wild Wisdom Global Challenge is an attempt to provide a unique opportunity for students to delve deeper into amazing wildlife, gain knowledge and take pride in its natural diversity. This initiative aims to instill a sense of concern for the natural world and inspire our students to demonstrate their concern for conservation.”

There will be three rounds in the quiz- gear up round, national round and the international round. While the gear-up round will be held in April-September 2021. School Challenge or the national round is scheduled for October and the international round is scheduled for December. The schedule, however, is tentative, the CBSE said.

The organizers commenced the registration process for the quiz started on April 5 and the last date to apply is August 31. Schools can register for the quiz by signing up on https://quiz.wwfindia.org/register . The registration fee is Rs 20 per student. Candidates can get more information on CBSE-WWF Wild Wisdom Global Challenge on the website quiz.wwfindia.org.

Meanwhile, CBSE is also conducting the Ganga Quest 2021 quiz from April 7 until May 8. The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) is organizing the third edition of the Ganga Quest, an online quiz competition on the Ganga River, in association with the Tree Craze Foundation. In order to take part in the live round, the candidates need to qualify for three rounds initially. NMCG will conduct the final live round of Ganga Quest on June 5 which marks World Environment Day, and the winners will be announced on June 20 on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra.
