Ambedkar University likely to reopen admissions for vacant seats in over 10 courses
Ambedkar University's 3rd Cutoff list was released earlier, where under several categories across courses no applicants and no cutoff marks were declared.
Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) may reopen the admission process for more than 10 courses across various categories as it has exhausted the list of applicants to those courses. Ambedkar University's 3rd Cutoff list was released earlier, where under several categories across courses no applicants and no cutoff marks were declared. As per the TOI report, the courses did not have any applicants left because of which the cutoffs were not announced.
“For some of the courses, we have exhausted all the applicants in certain categories. The concerned department is considering opening the respective courses under a special drive, which is most likely to take place at the end of the admission cycle. For such a drive, the admission process is most likely to reopen so that aspirants can apply,” a senior AUD official told TOI.
In the AUD 3rd Cutoff list 2021, BA (H) global studies saw no applicants under the unreserved, OBC, ST and EWS categories for outstation students. The same was the case with the BA (H) sustainable urbanism. The varsity exhausted the list of applicants for the OBC, SC, ST and EWS categories for students from outside Delhi.
Ambedkar University will be releasing the fourth and fifth cut-off list for Ambedkar University admission 2021 on October 27 and November 3, respectively. The third cut off list has been prepared by Ambedkar University on the basis of various paraments such as classification of candidates, seats available after the first round of counselling and marks scored by candidates in their last qualifying examination.
Similarly, for BA(H) Hindi, Ambedkar University exhausted the applicant list for all the categories for students outside of Delhi. Meanwhile, for BA (H) sociology, while the cutoff for the unreserved category for outstation students was pegged at 93.75 per cent, the EWS category saw the varsity exhaust all its applicants.
