Application process for BHU free IAS coaching for SC students begins, check details

Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence which was established in Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is now inviting applications from the Scheduled Caste (SC) students for free of cost Union Public Services Civil Services Examinations (UPSC CSE) coaching. All the candidates who are interested must note that the online application process has begun today; i.e. May 31, 2022. Candidates who wish to apply for the free coaching programme offered by the Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence at BHU will be able to register till June 15, 2022, at new.bhu.ac.in.

The BHU announced from its Twitter handle, “Only Scheduled Caste candidates will appear in the Common Entrance Test, from whom no admission fee will be charged. Application related information will also be available on the University's Entrance Test Portal http://bhuonline.in.”

Students must note that they will also get access to facilities such as classrooms, a library, and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity at the Dr Ambedkar Centre of Excellence, the BHU said in a notice issued earlier.

As per the official website, “The scheme is aimed to establish Dr Ambedkar Centre for Excellence in 31 central universities, one from every state, Union Territory of India. Through the scheme, the Centre shall empower Scheduled Caste students in competitive exams by providing the best and free coaching facilities.” The BHU had informed that the centre will also have a curriculum and preparatory material based on the changing pattern of the UPSC civil services exams.

Meanwhile, BHU also started inviting applications from Indian Nationals, Foreign Nationals, PIO & OCI, for ‘Malaviya Postdoctoral Fellowships’ as a follow up on its recent elevation as the Institutions of Eminence (IoE) by the Government of India. There are up to 100 positions in all disciplines of Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities and other professional disciplines.
