BITS Pilani joins hands with AM/NS India to launch BTech degree for employees

The course will help the employees to take a degree through the ‘Work Integrated Learning Programme’ without the need for a career break.

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, BITS Pilani inked a pact with AM/NS India with an aim to provide sponsored BTech Process Engineering degrees to employees. According to the reports, the course will help the employees to take a degree through the ‘Work Integrated Learning Programme’ without the need for a career break. Talking about the collaboration, the institute said, “The higher education course is facilitated through digital infrastructure over three and half years and will help strengthen employees’ technical foundation and build a strong knowledge base, preparing them to work more efficiently through this skill up-gradation opportunity.

Sharing his perspective regarding the collaboration and the launched course, Chief People Officer, AM/NS India, Mr. Anil Matoo, said, “In our quest for creating smarter steel, learning is an endless journey. Our employees are our most valuable asset and we continuously strive to enhance our employees’ competency levels through various learning initiatives. BITS Pilani faculty will conduct the seven-semester course digitally. The candidates enrolled under this course will get easy access to the institute’s online state-of-the-art laboratories and libraries as well as to a plethora of recorded lectures on all relevant topics. As part of the course, one semester would be dedicated to practical learning through projects.

With this collaboration, AM/NS India has designed a unique skill up-gradation opportunity. It will further strengthen the technical foundation & competencies of its engineers ensuring seamless operations of its manufacturing plants.
