Calicut University releases revised exam guidelines amid spike in COVID-19 cases
As per the order by C.C. Babu, Controller of Examinations, infected persons and those who are in quarantine can write the exams in line with the protocol laid out by the authorities.
In wake of the spike in COVID-19 cases in the state, the University of Calicut has released revised exam guidelines for the students. As per the guidelines released, only 20 students will be allowed to sit in a hall during the exam. All those students who are infected or are in quarantine can write exams in line with COVID-19 protocols.
As per the order by C.C. Babu, Controller of Examinations, infected persons and those who are in quarantine can write the exams in line with the protocol laid out by the authorities. The students should sit 1.5 metres apart from each other on each bench.
In case, the distance between benched cannot be maintained then they can be made to sit in alternate rows. The nearest government health centre, fire station, and police station should be informed about the exams in advance and all the protocols should be followed.
The college premises, examination halls, and the furniture there should be disinfected before the beginning of the session. Students should be allowed entry only through the main gate of the college building. Outside each exam hall, sanitizer and soap should be provided. Students should wear maks while entering and should continue wearing the same until the end of the exam. The students should observe physical distancing and should not exchange their articles. The examiners too should wear face masks and gloves, the order added.
Meanwhile, Calicut University has also released the exams schedule for entrance exams for admissions into UG, PG courses for the academic session 2021-22. The UG/ PG entrance exams will be conducted from today; i.e. August 17, 2021, onwards. Candidates can check the official schedule at admission.uoc.ac.in.
