Central University of Karnataka Vice-Chancellor Battu Satyanaryana has urged the students to apply for admission to various postgraduate courses offered by the varsity through Common University Entrance Test (CUET)- PG 2022. CUET PG 2022 Application process is currently underway.
While addressing a press conference, the VC said that the CUET will be conducted in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates can submit the online application forms for the post-graduate courses on or before June 18, 2022. All the candidates who wish to apply can visit the official website of the varsity; i.e. cuk.ac.in. Apart from this, candidates can also apply on cuet.nta.nic.in. Controller of Examinations RM Channaveer and Assistant Controller of Examinations Bharath Kumar were also present during the press conference.
The VC further said that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the post-graduate entrance test for 45 Central and participating universities across the country. Until now, only 12 central universities in the country were accepting CUET scores for admission, however, now for UG courses, it has been made compulsory for all the Central Universities to adopt it.
The Central University of Karnataka is also planning to expand its accommodation facility for the students and for that two new hostels will be constructed on campus, one each for girls and boys, with 500-bed capacity.
"To increase the number of faculty on campus, the varsity has also invited applications for recruitment to 40 posts of associate professor and 20 posts of professor. And, the university has already received 1,100 applications to fill 38 posts of assistant professor in various departments," Prof. Satyanarayana said.
