Delhi University’s Vidya Vistar Scheme: the University of Delhi in its latest notification announced its Vidya Vistar Scheme (V2 Scheme). According to the notice, the Vidya Vistar Scheme aims to facilitate academic co-operation with other universities. Under this scheme, the partnering institutions will get ground for academic cooperation and collaboration. On January 19, 2021, Delhi University’s acting vice-chancellor P C Joshi while releasing DU’s six-month report card, gave a brief introduction about the scheme covering its aims and goals.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Joshi stated that "Vidya Vistar Scheme (V2 Scheme) proposed by DU aims at making its faculties, library and other academic facilities available to the partnering institutions for academic cooperation and collaboration.” He also added that the scheme was launched earlier in the year and letters have been sent to all colleges and departments to collaborate with their counterparts from other universities. Calling the scheme completely voluntary, Mr Joshi said that the departments will have complete independence to decide if they want to participate in it or not.

According to the announcement, the collaboration under the "Vidya Vistar Scheme" will be carried out with online resources of the DU. DU’s acting Vice-Chancellor Joshi confirmed that "For now, we are talking about all our online resources. DU has state-of-the-art resources, our lectures, textbooks, projects, everything.
