DU Admission 2020: Apply under ECA category from August 1 to August 31; Check details here

Delhi University has announced that registration under extracurricular activities, or ECA category, for DU admission 2020, will be open from August 1 to August 31.

Delhi University has announced the dates for registration under Extracurricular Activities (ECA) category, for DU Admissions 2020 to Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), M.Phil., and Ph.D. programmes for the academic session 2020-2021. The registration for admission to all courses (UG, PG, M.Phil./ Ph.D) through Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET 2020) will close on July 31. However, the registration for admission through merit will remain open until August 31. As per the circular released by the varsity, candidates who have already registered for admission can now apply under the 14 ECA categories. They can apply under these categories from August 1 to 31. The students will require to pay an additional fee of Rs 100 to apply under the ECA category.

As per the official notification released by Delhi University, a candidate will be allowed to register for a maximum of three ECA categories. Admission under the ECA will be based on the merit or participation certificate of the candidates. An applicant will be allowed to upload a maximum of Best five certificates dated May 1, 2017, and April 30, 2020. Undated certificates will not be considered for marking, the varsity said. Certificates uploaded by the applicant under the ECA category will be evaluated out of a maximum of 100 marks. Applicants who score 20 marks and above in the uploaded certificates will be eligible for the final merit list of admission on the basis of ECA.
