DU's new initiative: 3-month certificate course on patent started

Taking a new initiative, the University of Delhi has started a Certificate Course on Patent, as per the need of the hour. The course was launched today , May 17, 2023, at the Academic Council Hall of the Vice Regal Lodge of the University. 

On this occasion, Dean of Colleges, Prof. Balaram Pani, Prof Pradeep Srivastava, Executive Director of TIFAC, Director of South Campus Prof. Sri Prakash Singh, Registrar Dr. Vikas Gupta, IPR Chair Prof. DS Rawat and Research Council Chairperson Prof. Daman Saluja also released the brochure of the course. Speaking as the chief guest, Prof. Balaram Pani said that there are a lot of career opportunities in the field of patents.

DU’s "Certificate Course on Patent" Details

This certificate course on patents, started by the Research Council of the University of Delhi will be of 3 months duration. This course, to be conducted in hybrid mode, has been kept online for 48 hours and offline for 12 hours. Classes will be held for two hours each on Saturday and Sunday. The course will take 300 students per batch and the course will run in multiple batches every year. The minimum qualification required for the course is graduation in any discipline or a 12th pass. If the applicant is only the 12th pass, then he/she has to submit the documents of certified interest in innovation/invention/startup. The last date to apply for the course is till June 10. The course will start on July 1 and its first batch will end on September 30, 2023.
