IIM Bangalore’s two-year full-time MBA programme, the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), has been ranked Number 21 among the top B-schools globally. India’s premiere institute has move up to seven ranks in the Financial Times Masters in Management (MiM) 2026 ranking, from 28th in 2025.

The Institute has also retained its Number 1 position in India, making it the only Indian B-School to figure in the top 25 globally. The latest rankings mark a significant boost in the Institute’s global standing over the past three years and reinforce its strong position among world renowned B-schools.

We benchmark our curriculum, methods and outcomes against the best in the world to ensure that students are equipped to navigate unprecedented business complexities with curiosity as well as with judgment. The strong gains in career outcomes reaffirm the value of this approach”, said Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, Director-in-charge, IIM Bangalore. 

The FT Masters in Management ranking evaluates the B-schools across 19 criteria, with alumni feedback accounting for 56% of the ranking’s weight and school data comprising the remaining 44%. By factoring in outcomes such as employment, return on investment, diversity, ESG, and internationalization, the assessment provides a holistic measure of an institution’s performance. 

In the past years, IIM Bangalore made significant gains across several career-related parameters. Its Weighted Salary increased, reflecting stronger salary outcomes for MBA graduates; Career Progress rank improved sharply to 69, from 90 in 2025, while its Careers Service rank moved up to 8, from 11. The Alumni Network Rank climbed to 19 globally, from 31 last year. The Value for Money Rank also improved substantially, moving to 65 from 78 in 2025. 

In terms of progress made by IIM Bangalore on diversity and sustainability indicators, the percentage of women on the board increased to 44% from 40%, while the ESG Net Zero Teaching Rank improved to 74 from 86.
