Ghana University has called BHU Vice-Chancellor Prof Sudhir K Jain to explore bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
A delegation of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, led by their vice Chancellor Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong called on Vice-Chancellor Prof Sudhir K Jain to explore bilateral exchanges and cooperation. The meeting takes place in wake of Banaras Hindu University’s greater emphasis on collaborations and engagements with global institutions in order to make available the best exposure and opportunities to its students and faculty members.
During the meeting between Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong and Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain discussion was held on exploring collaborations in the fields of music, medicine, management, history, international relations and commerce.
The visiting Vice-Chancellor expressed a strong desire to forge a memorandum of understanding with BHU in this regard which would further strengthen the long-established Indo-Ghanian relationship on the educational front.
Prof Jain expressed his full support for this endeavour and wished that students from both countries get benefited from this proposed collaboration. The Ghanian team also interacted with Prof N.V.Chalapathi Rao, Coordinator (International collaborations) and Prof SVS Raju Coordinator (International students) in this regard.
BHU professor gets 'Fellow of Indian Society for Hypertension' award
Prof Dhiraj Kishore, head of department, Medicine, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU has bagged the prestigious award 'Fellow of Indian Society for Hypertension' for his research paper on young onset hypertension.
Also, the Faculty of Law, BHU is celebrating the year 2022 as its centenary year. The first lecture on the event will be "India China Bilateral Relations: History, Present and Future" and it will be delivered by former Ambassador AR Ghanshyam on September 29, as reported by TOI.
