Goa University Semester Exams 2020 for 1st & 2nd year students to be held online
Along with the semester exams for first and second year students which will be held online; Goa University Semester Exams for Final Year students will be held offline i.e. physical mode starting from the same date i.e. January 4, 2021.
Goa University Semester Exams 2020: Goa University is all set to conduct the upcoming Semester Exams for the undergraduate courses i.e. BA, BSc and BCom programmes for 1st and 2nd-year students online. According to the reports, the semester exams are scheduled to begin from January 4, 2021. Along with the semester exams for first and second-year students which will be held online; Goa University Semester Exams for Final Year students will be held offline i.e. physical mode starting from the same date i.e. January 4, 2021.
According to the details shared by the varsity, for the online exams being held for first and second-year students, the exam papers will be shared with students through any of the following platforms: Google Classroom, Moodle, Email, WhatsApp, etc. The students will receive the question paper by 10 AM. After receiving the question paper, the candidate will be required to either type answers to the questions or write them down and scan them or click a photograph of them and upload the answer sheet on the university’s website. Students are required to upload the answer sheets latest by 1 PM in the afternoon.
Goa University Semester Exams: Format and Pattern
While announcing the conduct of the semester exams via online mode due to the ongoing pandemic situation, Goa University also shared details about exam format and pattern in which the test would be held. The exam duration would be of two hours i.e. 120 minutes in which students will be required to answer questions worth 30 / 40 marks. The university also decided that only one question paper will be set per subject for all the exams that are scheduled to be held online. The first set of question paper will have 8 questions of 2 marks each and students will be required to attempt any 5 out of them. The second set of questions in the paper will consist of 6 / 8 questions of 5 marks each; of which students will be required to answer 4 / 6 questions in total. Moreover, Subjects such as accounts, costing, maths, statistics may have 6 questions of 10 marks each of which students will answer any four, as per the university circular about the exam pattern.
