Goa University Seat Reservation
The university reserves seats for admission to various courses based on the reservation policy of the Goa State Government. Aspirants applying for admission under the Reserved Categories are required to submit a valid Certificate to that effect issued by the Officer of the rank of the Deputy Collector or any other authorized Officer as notified by the Government of Goa. At Goa University, admission to UG courses is merit-based, while for PG courses, students need to qualify for the university-level/ national-level entrance exams. STEP 1: Goa University Application Process
Goa University application process generally starts in May/ June. To get admission at Goa University, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria for this course. After that, students must fill out an online application form on the university's official website.
STEP 2: Shortlisting candidates
Goa University selects candidates for PG programmes based on GU-ART conducted by the university. For MBA admission, the university accepts CMAT/ ATMA scores. For UG courses, the selection is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates might not need to come for personal interview round for some of the courses.
STEP 3: Merit List and Admission Confirmation
For the final selected candidates, the university releases its merit lists of the shortlisted candidates for various courses. Selected aspirants need to pay the programme fee to confirm their seat in the university.

If a student chooses to withdraw from any of the Goa University programme in which s/he is enrolled, the following five-tier system shall be followed for the refund of fees remitted by her/him. Find below the refund policy:

Goa University conducts a Common Law Admission Test (GU-CLAT) for admission to BA LLB programme. Besides, candidates must also Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST and 42% aggregate for OBC) for BA LLB admission. The university releases a merit list based on HSc and GU-CLAT scores of the aspirants with 50% weightage to each of them.
Candidates need to pass one-year master's degree after a four-year bachelor's degree or a two year master's degree after a three-year bachelor's degree with at least 55% aggregate or its equivalent grade to apply for PhD course at Goa Unievrsity. There is a 5% relaxation in the aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ PwD candidates)

Reservation of seats for admission to the various programmes of study shall be based on the Reservation Policy of the Goa State Government.
