Gujarat University Semester Examinations 2022 likely to be postponed, check details

Gujarat University Examination 2022: Following representation by the Gujarat State Principals' Association, the second-semester examinations of the Gujarat University colleges are likely to be postponed. Earlier, the exams were scheduled to begin on May 26 which is now likely to be postponed to June 7.

The Association had last week written to the Vice-chancellor of the Gujarat University urging him to delay the exam by around 10 days. The request was made considering that around 1 lakh students of arts, commerce, science and BEd, law and BBA and BCA have registered for the examination and will require more to prepare. They also pointed out that the college administration will also require more time as they have to make arrangements for supervision, and sitting arrangements that will require time. The Gujarat State Principals' Association also cited summer conditions as one of the reasons for postponing the exam.
“VC’s office has approved this request. A general resolution has been issued to colleges informing them of this decision and has to prepare for exams by June 07. We needed senior supervisors and supervisors for conducting exams who were already gone on vacation. We had requested to reschedule exams to prepare for sitting arrangement, supervision which requires time,” said Star Payal Iyer, general secretary of Gujarat State Principals’ Association, as reported TOI.

Meanwhile, Gujarat University (GU) authorities have called an urgent syndicate meeting in which various government and private agencies made presentations. At present, the Gujarat University avails services of a government agency for the admission process. As per the sources, it is most likely that the GU will change the agency this year.
