The government of Delhi today inked a Memorandum of Understanding with Indira Gandhi Technical University and Universiti Malaysia Perlis. The MoU has been signed with the aim to create great learning opportunities for women in the world of advanced technology.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in a tweet said, " For Internationalisation of Delhi's higher education, today we have signed a MoU between the Indira Gandhi Technical University and Universiti Malaysia Perlis."
Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University was established as the first engineering college for women only. The University is recognised by the UGC and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. It has been ranked 161 among the best Engineering colleges in India by NIRF and seventh-best Engineering colleges in Delhi by NIRF 2021. IGDTUW offers BTech, BArch, BBA, MTech, MPlan, MCA, and PhD programmes in various specialisations. It also organises international conferences, workshops and seminars. IGDTUW has world-class infrastructure and offers all the required facilities to students, including accommodation facilities, a Wi-Fi facility, well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms and a central library.
Earlier, the government of Delhi has collaborated with Germany. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the two in order to teach German language in Delhi government schools. The collaboration aims at creating various opportunities for students studying in Delhi government schools. The partnership also aims at introducing students to a new culture.
The tweet posted from the official account of the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia states, “Today, the Delhi Govt signed a MoU with @GermanyinIndia to teach the German language in Delhi Govt schools. This collaboration between Delhi and Germany will create great opportunities for our students while also introducing them to a new culture.”
