IIM Nagpur becomes youngest IIM to Join CFA Institute University Affiliation Program

IIM Nagpur’s partnership with the CFA program became possible since its 2 year MBA curriculum has already embedded at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK).

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur became the sixth and the youngest IIM to join the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute University Affiliation Program. According to the reports, IIM Nagpur students will be benefitted from scholarships and fee waivers from the CFA Program by pursuing the program courses. The affiliation of IIM Nagpur to the CFA Program is a testament to the growth of the institute within 5 years of its inception. IIM Nagpur’s partnership with the CFA program became possible since its 2 year MBA curriculum has already embedded at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK).

Talking about the initiative, the Director of IIM Nagpur, Dr. Bhimaraya Metri stated that the institute has taken a major step towards providing the students with a comprehensive learning environment. Students will get an opportunity to gain a head start in the rapidly changing industry through various learning opportunities from the global industry with IIM Nagpur’s affiliation with CFA institute.

Welcoming IIM Nagpur into the program, Vidhu Shekhar, the CFA Institute Head for India said, “By becoming a part of this program, they have exhibited a commitment to build a talent pool of competent young professionals who would lead the improvements in the practice of investment management in India.” The CFA Institute is a global association of professionals in the field of investment management and holds standards for developing skills, competence, and integrity of the global investment professionals.

Meanwhile, IIM Nagpur was recently ranked 30th in “Best Business School of India” by India Today as well as 14th among the IIMs through its first participation in the Government’s 2020 NIRF Ranking.
