JKBS conducts orientation programme ‘ADHWAN’

Buniyaad is conducted in 2 phases- Pre-Foundation and Foundation program.

JK Business School (JKBS) recently hosted an orientation programme ‘Adhwan’ for its newly joined PGDM 2021-23 batch. “The annual orientation ceremony of Adhwan takes place upon the completion of the 100-days onboarding program ‘Buniyaad’ - an induction program to strengthen the basics of management and bridge gaps by bringing together students from diverse backgrounds on a common level of understanding before starting the PGDM program at JKBS,” the management school said. Buniyaad is conducted in 2 phases- Pre-Foundation and Foundation program.

This year, JKBS also introduced LinkedIn Learning. The sessions were conducted online for enhanced training for their academics and placements. The institute further informed, “This new mode for learning has been a success with student participation and over 1000 plus courses taken on LinkedIn Learning which included writing professional emails, Excel for Managers, courses in Marketing, Branding and many more.” JKBS students have of their own accord taken courses above what are the course requirements, which speak volumes about the quality of the foundation program curriculum. Buniyaad-2 consisted of many interactions with the corporate world through online networking and meetings.

The curriculum of JKBS is now based on outcome and problem-based learning. The curriculum has been designed to harness the ‘higher-order thinking skills’ (HOTS). It will help to foster the analytical and critical thinking abilities of students and help them make data-based decisions and inculcate cross-cultural perspectives so they can function seamlessly in a global business environment. Thus, the management school focuses majorly on working on real-time projects with industry professionals to give students firsthand experience of real-world scenarios.
