KTU Engineering Colleges to commence offline classes from Dec 28 onward
Students of BTech 7th semester, BArch 3rd semester, MTech, MArch, MPlan 3rd semester, MCA, Integrated MCA 5th semester are asked to attend offline classes from December 28 and it will continue until January 9.
KTU Reopening: The Kerala Technological University (KTU) directed to commence offline classes in the engineering colleges affiliated with the university from December 28 onwards. According to the directions released by KTU for the colleges, students are asked to be allowed to attend the classes of one semester in the college itself. It also directed to end the online classes of different semesters by December 18. The colleges are given detailed guidelines including the dates of commencing next semesters and semester exams. The university asked the colleges to give students an opportunity to attend offline classes in order to be part of practical, internal assessment and discussion on some theory portions.
Students of BTech 7th semester, BArch 3rd semester, MTech, MArch, MPlan 3rd semester, MCA, Integrated MCA 5th semester are asked to attend offline classes from December 28 and it will continue until January 9. Exams will begin from February 15 and next semester will commence on March 1. Classes for the students of BTech, BHMCT, BArch 5th semester, Integrated MCA 5th and 7th semesters will commence from January 11. Exams will start on March 1 and next semester will commence from April 1. Students of other semesters will have offline classes in January and February.
The final exams of all semester exams will be in written mode with a maximum score of 100. The maximum score for MBA will be 60. It is also decided to conduct exams for MBA for 42 marks and others for 70 marks and then convert the individual scores to 100. This will be the final score of the semester. The exam duration will be 2 hours and 15 minutes. BTech 3rd semester’s sustainable engineering paper in 2019 scheme will be held by the respective colleges. The question paper will be provided by the university. Two teachers will be attending the practical exams of these students. However, the external invigilator can be replaced with a senior teacher in the same department, it is directed.
