Madras University Exams 2021: Madras University on June 10 announced that the April 2021 theory exams for undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses will be delayed by a week due to the restrictions imposed in the area in order to contain the spread of the ongoing novel coronavirus. According to the information released by the University, Madras University Exams 2021 will begin on June 21. Earlier, the higher education department had announced that Madras University April 2021 theory exams for all universities would begin on June 15.

Talking about the conduct of the exam, Madras University officials said, "Due to the lockdown, the preparations for the exam including preparation of question papers have been affected. So, the exam will begin after a slight delay.” According to the release by the university registrar in-charge N Mathivanan, the schedule for the exams will be uploaded on the university's official website www.unom.ac.in on June 14. Meanwhile, the university will issue April 2021 theory exams hall tickets by uploading them to the website on June 15. Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, Madras University decided to conduct April 2021 theory exams for undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses via virtual mode. The University also stated that the duration of the examination will be three hours. "The examinations will be conducted in online mode for three hours," the release further said.

Educational institutions, universities, colleges and schools are closed across the country in wake of the ongoing novel coronavirus spread. Universities and other academic institutions are conducting academic activities as per the directions released by the government.
