Maharshi Dayanand University Exams 2021: University gives nod for offline, online exams
The examinations will primarily be held in offline descriptive mode, and an online exam option will be provided to students after the completion of the offline exams.
Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Rohtak has announced that it has decided to conduct the Undergraduate and Postgraduate exams in both offline and online mode. The examinations will primarily be held in offline descriptive mode, and an online exam option will be provided to students after the completion of the offline exams.
The online mode of exams will not be for all students. The option will be provided to only those students who are infected with COVID-19 or advised to be quarantined due to positive cases in the family, students residing in containment zones, students living abroad, other states, hospitalized due to chronic disease.
Such students will only be allowed to appear for the online exam by the concerned Heads/ Directors/ Principals of Departments/ Institutes/ Colleges at their own level. To avail, this option students will be required to request the concerned Heads of the department at their own level at least seven days before the state of his/ her examinations.
Students must note that the theory examinations will be conducted for three hours for both online and offline modes. However, the students will be required to attempt any five questions carrying equal marks. In case of question papers having an unequal distribution of marks as in the case of Hindi, English Sanskrit, B.Pharmacy, etc, the students shall be required to attempt as many parts irrespective of questions of their choice that constitutes maximum marks.
The varsity has also directed that students who once appear in offline exams will not be allowed to appear again in online examinations. The exams would be conducted as the SOPs issued by the center and the state.
