Patna University to begin offline classes for UG students from first week of October
In order to apprise the students of several rules and protocols related to COVID-19 and also to make them aware of the facilities available at the campus, Patna University will hold an induction programme.
With COVID-19 cases declining in the state and the admission process for first-year degree courses likely to be completed by end of this month, Patna University has announced that it will begin the offline classes for students from the first week of October.
In order to apprise the students of several rules and protocols related to COVID-19 and also to make them aware of the facilities available at the campus, Patna University will hold an induction programme. Patna University will begin the offline classes before the commencement of the Durga Puja holidays, officials told an English Daily.
Patna University (PU) has received over 20,000 applications for undergraduate (UG) regular and self-finance courses. Patna University Admission 2021 online registration process ended on August 31, 2021. There are 4,000 seats altogether for undergraduate courses in different colleges of PU.
As per reports, as many as 652 students out of those 2,500 admitted so far have requested for revision of their choice of subjects or the institutions they are enrolled in.
The varsity said 34,580 students initially had registered for Patna University Admissions 2021 for UG courses but only 20,855 filled up the form successfully and made payments. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, Patna University did not conduct any entrance exam this year.
However, with Patna University canceling the entrance exam, many students expressed their disappointment on the same and also, did not like the idea of admission to be on the basis of the average scores in the board examinations.
