Pondicherry University Admission 2022: The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) at Pondicherry University has began the admission process to various courses for the academic year 2022-23. All the candidates who wish to enroll can do so on or before March 31. 

Pondicherry University: Courses

The entire admission process has been automated by the directorate to enable the students to submit the application forms and pay fees online. The directorate has 29 faculty members, 17 professors as course coordinators, and several full-time teaching faculty members and administrative staff. It is celebrating its silver jubilee this year.

The directorate offers four postgraduate programmes - MCom (finance) and MA in English, Hindi and Sociology and eight undergraduate programmes in business administration, commerce, English, economics, history, political science, sociology and journalism and mass communication. The directorate also offers 20 courses, including eight MBA programmes in marketing, finance, human resource management, international business, general administration, tourism, operations and supply chain management and hospital management.

It must be noted that all these programmes have been recognized and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), New Delhi.

Last year, the online admission portal was formally launched by Vice-Chancellor Gurmeet Singh in the august presence of distance education director C K Ramaiah, registrar (in-charge) Amaresh Samantaraya, finance officer (in-charge) D Lazar and college development council dean (in-charge) K Chandrasekara Rao among others.

The DDE is pioneered in introducing the concept of offering degree programmes under the Twinning Programme, by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with reputed institutions having excellent Human Resources, infrastructure and learning facilities.
