Punjab Agricultural University Admissions 2021: Punjab Agricultural University, Regional Research Centre at Balowal Saunkhari commenced the admission application process for a 4-year BSc programme. Candidates interested in Punjab Agricultural University Admissions 2021 must note that the last date to submit applications for admission is June 16. Talking about the eligibility criteria of the programme, Darshan Lal Mangupur, MLA Balachaur said that students of Class XII in medical, non-medical or agriculture subjects can get admission in this course.
He further appealed to the youth of the area to make the most of this golden opportunity as it was going to be a great facility close to their homes. “The college was not only going to be a boon for the youth of Kandi area and Nawanshar, but would also cater to the needs of the students belonging to Rupnagar, Hoshiarpur and other districts,” he added. He said that this has paved the way for the youth to get quality education and employment opportunities.
Meanwhile, the Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes issued an order directing the Punjab Government not to release grants/funds to Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. The order has been given until the University implements the reservation policy of the state government. According to the reports, Chairperson of the Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes Tajinder Kaur said Dalveer Kumar and others of the PAU SC/BC Employees Welfare Association, PAU Campus, Ludhiana, had complained that Punjab Agricultural University had not implemented Punjab Government’s reservation policy in the university since its inception.
She said “after that, the commission had sought an action taken report from the PAU. In an affidavit, the Registrar of PAU, Dr RS Sidhu, said PAU neither comes under the Punjab State SC/BC Reservation Policy 2006 nor Clause 1.1.1. of the UGC Act.
