Additionally, its objective was also to assess the occurrence of common dental problems and the oral health seeking behaviour of the women artisans.

A health camp and counselling session for the women artisans were jointly organised today by IQAC, Sharda University's Yunus Social Business Centre, and School of Dental Sciences. 200 female craftspeople participated in the camp, which was held in Noida at the My E-Haat exhibition.

Anurag Rana, a trustee of the MonAmi foundation, Himani Gautam, Anshu Joshi, Simi Suri, a representative of the HCL foundation, members of IQAC, and others were present at the event. The campaign aims to raise awareness among the female artisans about the value of upholding proper dental and personal hygiene. Also, its goal was to evaluate the frequency of common dental issues and the way that women artisans sought out oral health care, the press release stated.

Also, the doctors gave the female craftsmen a basic physical examination and distributed oral hygiene kits to them. According to Dr. M Siddharth, dean of Sharda School of Dental Sciences, women have emerged as the backbone of society in modern times.

He went on to say that an educated lady educates the whole family. Professor (Dr.) Anubhav Vashisht, director of the Sharda IQAC, stated that the institution frequently organises such events as it promotes women's advancement in all fields and domains.

He added that he had a personal connection to the occasion because the entire institution had come to support and encourage the women artists. Dr. Sanjeevani Kaul of Sharda Hospital then conducted a counselling session with the women artists and answered their questions. The importance of dental hygiene was discussed by Dr. Pallavi Sharma of the Sharda School of Dental Sciences.
