Academic Deputy Registrar Uttam Chavan requested each department to relax attendance norms. Professor Vice-Chancellor of SPPU NS Umarani said that focus should not be on compelling students to adhere to strict classroom norms but instead to make the syllabus accessible to each student employing all available methods at disposal.

The varsity also asked its constituent colleges to map the classes online after considering the problems encountered by the various students in their respective places. The University said that relaxation should be offered to the students who do not possess the requisite gadget or are facing troubles with internet connection while attending online classes. Students also believe that these methods would be counterproductive as it will not force them to attend classes only for the attendance mandate.
