Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Course Admissions 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to MA are required to have completed their relevant UG degree. For further selection, candidates have to appear for OEE conducted by UniPune for final selection. The majority of MA courses are available on the campus of UniPune while a few chunks of MA specialisations are also offered by various affiliated colleges and recognised institutes under UniPune. After appearing for the exam, students are required to wait for the merit lists released on the official website of the university. After the release of the merit list, students are required to fill in the admission form and upload the necessary documents in it. After all the documents are verified by the relevant department, an admission fee challan is generated and the fee must be paid followed by that before the last date.

SPPU total tuition fee for MA ranges between INR 15,000 and INR 11.9 lakh. The fee varies depending upon the specialisation chosen, tenure of the course and the affiliated college selected by the student. This tuition fee is sourced from unofficial sources. Other than the tuition fee, students are also required to pay the application fee to get into UniPune. The application fee for General category candidates is INR 600 (INR 750 with late fee) and the same is INR 400 for reserved category candidates (INR 550 with late fee). 

At the PG level, UniPune offers a two-year MSc programme in over 20 specialisations. While admission to a majority of these specialisations is OEE based, there are a few courses, such as Medical Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Drug Chemistry, among others, admission to which is completely merit-based. At the UG level, Pune University offers a full-time BTech programme. The duration of the programme is four years, spread across eight semesters. While BTech in Aviation is offered by SPPU at its main campus only, the BTech programme is offered in multiple specialisations through SPPU-affiliated colleges. The application forms for MCA admission at UniPune can be filled out via the online portal of MAH MCA CET. The application form for the same are available only in online mode on the website cetcell.mahacet.org. To apply the candidates need to follow the steps given below:

1. Open the MAH MCA CET 2024 website and click on the ‘apply now’ tab and register as a new user.
2. To register, enter your name, e-mail ID and other contact details asked. After successful registration, a registration number and password will be sent through e-mail and SMS
3. Post-registration, candidates have to fill out the detailed form, and upload a recent passport-size photo and scanned signature.
4. After the above step, submit the form. Candidates must keep a printed copy of the same with them for future reference. 

Pune University offers admission to M.Tech through various affiliated colleges. Of all the colleges Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Architecture, Akurdi can be considered as the most popular. Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Architecture, Akurdi MArch course candidates need to have valid MHTCET MTech scores. As per the UniPune cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Architecture, Akurdi stood at 83.73 for the M.Arch. in Construction Management course for the General category All India candidates. 

UNIPUNE accepts MAH B.Ed CET for admission to MCA courses. The cutoff was released for various affiliated colleges of the university. The lowest percentile to get into the university was 34.47, at Siddhant Institute of Computer Application. The second most competitive college to get admission into was Navsahyadri Education Society's Group of Institutions, at rank 38.54.

UNIPUNE offers admission to UG and PG level courses on merit basis and entrance exams. Students should secure minimum marks in Class 12 for UG level admissions. For PG level courses, Students have graduation degree with the set minimum marks. In addition to this, valid scores of accepted entrance exams is a must. Students should meet the cutoff rank for final admission. 

SPPU offers courses at the UG, Diploma and PG levels in full-time mode. Admission to the respective course is offered on the basis of merit and entrance. The University offers respective courses with total tuition fees ranging from INR 3 K to INR 30 Lakh, differing level to level of the course. 

UniPune cutoff for MArch course is based on MAH MArch CET scores. As per the cutoff 2023, the Round 1 closing ranks for Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samthas Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture For Women and Aayojan School of Architecture and Design, Maharashtra stood the same at 44 for the General category Home State candidates.

The total course fee for the B.Tech programme at Savitribai Phule Pune University ranges between INR 75,000 and INR 15 lakhs.
