After scrutiny of the forms and the documents, eligible candidates will be allowed for the re-examination, Mahesh Kakade, Director of Examination and Evaluation, SPPU, said.
Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced that it will conduct re-examinations for students who have missed their semester assessments. However, only those students will be allowed who were absent as they were participating in sports, national-level exams or other events approved by the varsity. SPPU Re-exam 2022 is expected to be held at the end of September.
While speaking on the same, Mahesh Kakade, Director of Examination and Evaluation, SPPU, said, “We have already uploaded the circular regarding circumstances under which a student will be eligible for applying to appear for special examinations. This includes students selected for Asian or international games, participating in competitions approved by the management council from time to time, participating in sports and cultural events approved by the University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities, and those who appeared for UPSC, NET, etc which was clashing with university exams scheduled on the same day,” as reported by TOI.
As the varsity is currently conducting the semester examinations for first-year students and it will end on September 15, the special exams will be held only after it ends, he said.
“We are thinking of inviting applications online from September 1 onwards. This will probably be kept open for 15 days after which the examinations will be scheduled,” Kakade added. "After scrutiny of the forms and the documents, eligible candidates will be allowed for the re-examination," he said.
Meanwhile, the Centre for Performing Arts, popularly known as Lalit Kala Kendra, at Savitribai Phule Pune University, has begun the admission process for two certificate courses in music in collaboration with the Maharashtra Cultural Centre.
