There are a total of 5,199 seats available for undergraduate and postgraduate programs across 18 NIFTs in India. These include 4,324 seats for All-India candidates, 405 seats for state-domicile and 470 seats for NRI candidates.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is offering a total of 5,199 seats across the 18 NIFTs in All-India, state domicile, and NRI categories. There are 4,324 seats for All-India candidates, 405 seats for state-domicile and 470 seats for NRI candidates.
This year, a total of 18 NIFTs are participating in the NIFT 2023 admission process. In the last edition, there were 17 participating institutes. NIFT Daman was added recently. With the addition of NIFT Daman in the current academic session, the NIFT seat intake has been increased from 5,023 to 5,199.

NIFT admissions 2023 will be a two-tiered process wherein aspirants need to first clear the written tests (CAT and GAT). Shortlisted candidates have to next appear in a Situation Test/Personal Interview. The NIFT 2023 merit rank for admission will be prepared by giving weightage to each test component.
NIFT 2023 results
The NIFT will announce the results for the NIFT 2023 written exams anytime in March. The NIFT 2023 written exam result will include details such as the candidate's name, marks obtained in written exams, category, and programme applied for admission. The scores of the written tests will be used to shortlist candidates for a situation test for the BDes program, and a group discussion and personal interview (GDPI) for PG courses. Once released, candidates will be able to check their NIFT 2023 written exam results on the official website – nift.ac.in. The final NIFT 2023 results will be declared in May 2023.
