NTA has started the admission process for various design courses and categories at the NIFTs, including PhD, NLEA, and Artisans. With regular fees, applications will be accepted till Jan 6.
NIFT Admission 2025 is now open for UG & PG Programs (Regular, NLEA, Artisans) and Ph. D. courses. With regular fees, applications will be accepted from November 22 - January 6, 2025.
With late fees, the application deadline is January 9, 2025.
Admission to the regular courses will be through the NIFT 2025 entrance exam.
Under the regular program, the NIFTs offer B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses.
Meanwhile, the B.Tech and B.F.Tech courses are also available under the NLEA scheme.
The NIFT Lateral Entry Admission (NLEA) scheme allows candidates direct admission to the 3rd semester of the UG program.

Mode of NIFT 2025 exam
The NIFT 2025 exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) / Paper Based Test (PBT) mode.
The exam will be administered across 82 cities in India.
The candidate can select their choice of exam center when filling out the NIFT 2025 application form.
Note that candidates seeking admission to the PhD courses aren’t required to appear in the NIFT 2025 entrance exam. Instead, they need to take a written exam.
The candidate will also have to partake in a Research Proposal Presentation and an Interview
(RPPI)
The NTA has released the admission schedule for the NIFT 2026 entrance exam, including the application dates. The last date to fill application will be in the first week of January 2026.
Candidates applying a late fee will have to pay an additional INR 5,000.
