The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the city intimation slip for NIFTEE Stage 1 on January 29, 2026. The intimation slip is released online at - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. 

NIFT Exam stage 1 will be held in bilingual i.e. Hindi and English. Candidates are required to answer in the medium as per the option exercised in the online Application Form.

NTA releases the NIFT admit card two to three days before the date of examination. It is the final document that has to be carried on the day of examination. The NIFT 2026 admit card will carry similar details to NIFT intimation slip in addition with:

• Name and address of the exam centre
• Roll number
• Admit card number
• Photograph of the candidate

Candidates must have the following documents with them on the NIFT 2026 exam day.

• NIFT admit card 2026
• One passport-size photograph 
• Valid Photo Identity Card (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Driving license, Passport, Ration Card, Aadhaar Enrolment Number, etc.)
• PwBD certificate issued by the authorized medical officer (if applicable)

To reset NIFT Login Password

1. Using Security Question and its Answer you have chosen during the Form
2. Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to the Registered Mobile
3. Using a reset link sent via Email to your Registered Email address

NIFTEE exam will be conducted offline at the centres. There are 102 cities in which exams will be held. The exam will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) for GAT and Paper Based Test (PBT) – CAT. Stage 1 has two parts: GAT and CAT.

 NIFT 2026 portal for submission of scribe details will be available from January 29, 2026 to January 31, 2026. PwBD/PwD candidates opting for their own scribe can do so now.

Candidates must understand tat that City Slip is NOT the Admit Card for NIFTEE - 2026. This is advance information for the allotment of the city where the Examination Centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates. The Admit Card of NIFTEE – 2026 shall be issued later.

For NIFT 2026 UG programmes: Maximum age should be less than 24 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Person with Disability (PwD) categories. For NIFT PG programmes: No age limit.

2. If the NIFT 2026 Advance City Intimation Slip, then download link will be activated
3. Click on the download link
4. In the log-in window that opens, enter your application number and date of birth
5. The City Intimation slip: Stage 1 will be displayed on the screen
6. Download and take a printout 
7. The NIFT 2026 exam city slip will contain details like the name of the city allotted to the candidate and the exam date.

There has been a delay in the release of the NIFT City Intimation slip 2026. This has created a situation of panic amongst the students. The exam is to be conducted on February 08, 2026 for UG and PG programmes.

After city intimation slip, NTA will release the NIFT Stage 1 Admit Card for the candidates who have filled the application form. It is a compulsory document that must be carried to the exam centre. It will be released 2-3 days before the exam
