The recent passport size photograph should be in colour with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background.

• A recent colour photograph (JPG format, size 10 - 200Kb) in which the face shall occupy 80% of the image, with full face (without mask), both ears clearly visible against white background.
• Signature file should be JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible) between 10 kb to 30 kb.
• Scanned copy of Identity Proof (for those candidates who will verify their identities through methods other than Aadhaar or DigiLocker) should be in format JPG/JPEG between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly legible).
• A scanned copy of Disability/UDID certificate should be a PDF between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible), wherever applicable.

To create NIFT 2026 Login password, pay attention to the following.

1. Password must be 8 to 13 characters
2. Password must have at least one Upper case
3. Password must have at least one Lower case
4. Password must have at least one numeric
5. Password must have at least one special character (!@#$%^&*-)

NIFT 2026 seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/GEN-EWS/ Person With Disability (PwD) in each programme.

Any candidate who fulfils the prescribed educational qualification criteria for the respective Master’s programme can apply for NIFT 2026. There is no age limit.

The maximum age should be less than 24 years as on 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Person with Disability (PwD) categories.

NIFT Stage 1 exam will be conducted on February 08, 2026.

NIFT Entrance exam 2026 will be conducted in two stages: Stage 1 and Stage 2. NIFT Stage 1 will be in Computer Based Test (CBT) and Paper Based Test (PBT) modes.

Yes, you can fill the NIFT 2026 Registration form with late fees from 07 January 2026 to 10 January 2026. Late fee is ₹ 5000/- (in addition to the application fee).

This test comprises MCQs in Quantitative Analysis, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability & General Awareness.

Candidates may be required to complete Aadhaar-based e-KYC during the online application process for NIFTEE 2026. Applicants must also upload a live photograph, along with the scanned photograph and signature, as specified in the Information Bulletin. NIFT M.Des includes General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT). Shortlisted based on GAT + CAT, followed by a Personal Interview (PI)
