NIFT has released the Round 2 Cutoff for UG and PG programmes on its official website. Candidates can check the opening and closing ranks for various categories and programs by logging into the counselling portal. This will help them understand their admission status and take the next steps in the counselling process.

NIFT released the cutoff for Round 2 for UG and PG programmes. Candidates can now check the cutoffs of various NIFT Institutes for Round 1 and Round 2 for NIFT Admission 2025. Read in detail to know more.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has officially released the Round 2 Cutoff for both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes. Candidates who participated in the counselling process can now check the cutoff details on the official website: https://nift.admissions.nic.in/or-cr/.

The NIFTEE 2025 cutoff lists provide the Opening and Closing Common Merit Ranks (CMR) for each program, institute, and category. These ranks will help candidates improve their admission chances and decide further actions, like Choice Filling, Modification, Seat acceptance, or Participation in upcoming rounds (if applicable).

How to Check NIFT Cutoff 2025?

Candidates can view the NIFT cutoffs 2025 by following the steps:

  • Visit the official website of NIFT - nift.admissions.nic.in
  • Under eServices, click on the OR-CR tab
  • The OR-CR (opening rank - closing rank) OPTION for UG and PG courses will be displayed on screen
  • Click on the relevant link 
  • Next, you have to select the seat-allotment round, institute, program, and category to get the relevant NIFT cut-off 2025
  • Once the cut-off opens, you can download it in PDF format. 

Note: Candidates should note that NIFT Cutoffs for NIFT 2025 Round 1 and Round 2 are visible under: Previous year cut off rank/sample question papers > Cut off Merit Ranks-2024.

Q:   When will NIFT cutoff be released?
A:

The National Instituite of Fashion Technology will release the NIFT 2026 at the time of seat allotment and counseling.

The cut-offs will be available institute and category-wise for all the program at nift.admissions.nic.in.

The cut-offs will be prepared by considering factors like the seat intake, the merit rank of candidates, admission category, etc. Note that if the seat intake is increase the cut-off would likely go down and vice versa.

Q:   I have failed to meet NIFT 2026 cut-off in previous rounds. Will I get admission?
A:

NIFT 2026 counseling process will be conducted online and will have multiple rounds. In the previous edition of the exam, three regular rounds, followed by a SPOT round, of seat allotment were conducted. 

If you meet the cut-off in any of these rounds, you will be considered for admission in that round. However, if you fail to meet the cut-off criteria, you may be considered for admission in the subsequent rounds provided you meet the cut-off for that round. Or, else you will have to wait for the SPOT round, where seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Vacant seats after completion of the regular rounds will be offered in the SPOT round.
