Education Minister to sign MoU with Rotary International for audio-visual content in Hindi

MHRD will soon be signing Memorandum of Association with Rotary International in order to provide content for TV telecasts and other online platforms of MHRD such as Vidyadaan, Diksha, Swayam Prabha, etc., in Hindi.

The Minister of Human Resource Development Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ which oversees the school and higher education is all set to collaborate with the Rotary International for audio-visual content for Classes 1 to 12. According to the latest tweet posted by the Education Minister, The Rotary International, a global network that works on sustainable projects like literacy, peace, health, etc., will soon be signing Memorandum of Association with MHRD in order to provide content for TV telecast and other online platforms of MHRD such as Vidyadaan, Diksha, Swayam Prabha, etc., in Hindi.

While tweeting about the collaboration, the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said, “I am happy to share that we are signing an MoU with @Rotary tomorrow to provide audio-visual content in Hindi for Classes I to XII for TV telecast and other online platforms of MHRD like Vidyadaan, Diksha, Swayam Prabha, etc. Stay tuned...”

According to the reports, the content will be based on the curriculum prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an autonomous organisation that advises the government on qualitative improvement in school education.

The NCERT is also asked to form guidelines on schools reopening after lockdown. The Council also released an alternative academic calendar for primary, upper primary and higher secondary classes. The calendar contains a list of suggested resources such as a reference to textbooks, chapters, themes, e-resources, weblinks, etc., which will be used by teachers for designing contextual activities for students. The academic calendars designed by the NCERT contain a week-wise plan consisting of interesting and challenging activities, with reference to theme/ chapter taken from syllabus or textbook. In order to facilitate teachers/ parents to assess the learning progress of children beyond textbooks, the calendars also map the themes with the learning outcomes and beyond textbooks.

Meanwhile, The HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that the CBSE 10^th Results 2020 and CBSE 12^th result 2020 will be declared by August 15. "Efforts are being made to declare the result by July-end or August itself. The evaluation process has already begun for the board exams and will continue to be held simultaneously with pending exams," the HRD minister said.  This year too, the results of both the classes will be declared at an interval of a few days.
