Adi Karmayogi Student Chapters Launched

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs inaugurated the Adi Karmayogi Student Chapters at IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, NITs, and other top universities. The Bhagwan Birsa Munda Cell at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will be the nodal hub for this pan-India programme. Vibhu Nayar, Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi, along with the Directors and Vice Chancellors of other institutions across India, graced the inaugural event hosted at IIT Delhi.

Vibhu Nayar, Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, said, โ€œBy connecting students from IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, NITs, and other top institutes with tribal communities and development programmes, we are nurturing a generation of young leaders who will shape Indiaโ€™s educational, social, and entrepreneurial landscape. Adi Karmayogi Student Chapters represent the future of youth leadership in India, paving the way for a Viksit Bharat @2047.โ€

Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi, said, โ€œIIT Delhi is proud to host the national launch of the Adi Karmayogi Student Chapters. This platform enables students to mentor, innovate, and drive meaningful impact in tribal regions.โ€

Eminent leaders including Directors of IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Dhanbad, AIIMS Delhi, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Gorakhpur, IIM Lucknow, NIT Raipur, and the Vice Chancellor of the Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology, Kerala, have spoken very highly about the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan and the innovative initiative of establishing student chapters and extended their support to this movement.
