IIT Delhi, AcSIR Sign MoU to Expand Collaborative Research and Student Exchange Opportunities

IIT Delhi and AcSIR have signed an MoU to promote collaborative research, joint supervision, student exchange, academic visits and faculty research projects.

IIT Delhi, AcSIR Sign MoU

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. This MoU aims to bring together the academic and research expertise of IIT Delhi and the wide network of research institutes associated with AcSIR. 

The partnership will provide students and faculty members with opportunities to work across institutions, access different research facilities and collaborate with experts from various fields. One of the key provisions of MoU is joint supervision of PhD, M.Tech and MS(R) students. 

Under the collaborative arrangement, students will have at least one supervisor from IIT Delhi and another from an AcSIR-associated research institute. The partnership will also support academic and research visits between the two institutions. Postgraduate students, research scholars and faculty members will be able to spend time at the partner institution for academic and research activities.

Coursework and research opportunities

Students from IIT Delhi and AcSIR will be able to undertake coursework and research work at either institution under collaboration. They will not need to take separate admission or pay tuition fees to host institution for these activities. The MoU will also encourage faculty members from IIT Delhi and researchers from AcSIR-associated institutes, including CSIR and ICMR research institutes, to work together on areas of mutual interest.

The institutions can undertake joint research projects and explore opportunities for wider academic collaboration. The partnership is expected to create a framework for sharing expertise, research facilities and academic resources between IIT Delhi and AcSIR-associated research institutes.
