AICTE invites applications under education technology platform NEAT
The portal opened on December 11 and will close on December 17. Interested candidates can register at https://internship.aicte-india.org/register_new.php.
The All India Council for Technical Education has invited applications under the National Education Alliance for Technology (NEAT) scheme. NEAT is a public-private partnership model between the government (through its implementing agency AICTE) and the education technology companies of India. The initiative was launched to improve learning using artificial intelligence.
The ministry said, “NEAT brings the best education technology courses in pedagogy on a single platform for learners' convenience. In addition, technology courses use artificial intelligence for customised learning and e-content in niche areas with highly employable skills.”
Free coupons for disadvantaged students
While registering, candidates have to fill in the personal details and college/university/institute details. NEAT also offers 12 lakh free coupons for higher education students from socially and economically disadvantaged students of society. There is a dedicated section in the registration form, which reads, “Apply for NEAT free products”. Students are required to fill in details such as gender, last course passed, category, course preference and academic percentage.
The scholarship initiative was taken to make quality education accessible to all the sections of the society. The allocation of free seats will be based on the information provided by the educational institutes on NEAT portal. The portal opened on December 11, 2021, and will close on December 17, 2021, at https://internship.aicte-india.org/register_new.php.
