AICTE QIP 2026 Application

AICTE QIP 2026 Application: Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education, Prof. Yogesh Singh, has announced launch of full-time Master’s and PhD programmes for under Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) 2026-27. An online portal for QIP has also been launched to make AICTE Master’s and PhD application and admission process easier. Interested candidates can apply online till April 30 at qip.aicte.gov.in. 

QIP aims to improve academic knowledge, teaching skills, and research abilities of faculty members working in degree and diploma institutions across India. This AICTE QIP 2026 program will help teachers get better subject knowledge and modern teaching methods. This will improve the overall quality of technical education and directly benefit students through better classroom learning. 

Eligibility Criteria for AICTE QIP 2026 Master's and PhD Programs

It must be noted that only full-time regular or permanent faculty members can apply.

For Master’s Degree (2 Years)

• At least one year of teaching experience at the polytechnic level
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree

For Ph.D. Programme (3 Years)

• At least three years of teaching experience
• A relevant Master’s degree

AICTE QIP 2026 Master's and PhD Programs Financial Assistance

Selected candidates will get financial support through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

• INR 9,000 per month for Master’s students
• INR 15,000 per month for PhD scholars

Additional annual contingency grant for academic expenses

AICTE QIP 2026 Master's and PhD Application Process  

AICTE QIP 2026 Master's and PhD applications will go through multiple stages of screening, including review by Nodal QIP Centre at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and other QIP institutes. Shortlisted candidates will appear for interviews or tests at their chosen centres.

Important Requirements for AICTE QIP 2026 Master's and PhD Program

Applicants must

• Have valid AICTE Faculty ID
• Submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent institution
• Provide Aadhaar details
• Choose up to three programme options

If selected in more than one programme, candidates can choose best available option and join accordingly.
