AKTU MTech Admission: Centre for Advanced Studies, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University has started registration for admission to AKTU MTech programmes. It must be noted that all MTech courses offered by institute are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Candidates can complete AKTU MTech admission registration by visiting official website erp.aktu.ac.in/WebPages/Public/EntranceExams/CASPGGATE/instructions.aspx.Β
Last date to complete AKTU MTech registration 2026 is June 30. Both GATE and non-GATE candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh can apply under All India Open Category for AKTU MTech admission to Centre for Advanced Studies.
GATE Candidates to Receive Monthly Stipend
Candidates who have qualified GATE and have valid score card can apply for AKTU MTech admission. Those admitted through GATE will be eligible to receive monthly stipend as per AICTE, MHRD and university norms. AICTE-approved institutions provide financial assistance to eligible GATE-qualified MTech students.
Candidates who have not qualified GATE are also eligible for admission. Their selection will be based on merit in CUET PG 2025 or Institute Level Entrance Examination.

40 marks in GATE will approximately give a rank between 2000 to 5000 depending on the paper difficulty level and the number of registered candidates in that particular branch. Obtaining 40 marks is mainly considered average, opening chances to a few new IITs (less popular branches) and NITs.
However, rank for 40 marks in the Graduate Aptitude in Engineering can give a different rank value for different branches and disciplines. For example, 40 marks in GATE CSE can correspond to 9000 to 10000 rank. On the other hand, 40 marks in GATE ME, can correspond to 6000 - 7100 rank.
Advice to students who secured 40 marks in GATE exam: Better to apply in some state-level colleges or new NITs.
Indian Institute of Technology released GATE cutoff 2026. The IITG GATE 2026 result has been declared. The conducting body releases the exam result and cutoff for all 30 subjects.
