Who are eligible for AP PGECET Counselling 2026
Candidates with a valid AP PGECET rankcard or GATE/GPAT scorecard are eligible to participate in the counselling. The admission is conducted for first-year admissions into various Post Graduate Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy and related programmes offered across State Universities and their affiliated colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

AP PGECET Web- Counselling 2026: Eligibility and Reservation
Candidates appearing for AP PGECET web-counselling can check detailed eligibility criteria below:

Must be an Indian National.

Need a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

85% of seats are reserved for local AP candidates; 15% open to local/non-local candidates under specific conditions (residency, parent's government employment, etc.).

EWS candidates get 10% reservation with a valid 2026-27 EWS certificate.

Maximum age for fee reimbursement: 30 years (OC), 34 years (SC/ST/BC), as of 01.07.2026.

GATE/GPAT candidates get first preference for seats; remaining seats go to PGECET candidates by merit rank.
