The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh, will conduct the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) today, April 25. The exam is scheduled for 11 AM to 1 PM at various test centres across the state. The exam will have 120 questions to be attempted in two hours. Each question will be of one mark.

AP POLYCET 2026 Exam Today, Guidelines & More

The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh, will conduct the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) today, April 25. The exam is scheduled for 11 AM to 1 PM at various test centres across the state. Candidates who seek admission into Diploma Courses in Engineering / Non-Engineering / Technology offered at Polytechnics & Private Engineering Colleges for Diploma Courses in Andhra Pradesh must appear for the test.

The exam will have 120 questions to be attempted in two hours. There will be 50 questions from Maths, 40 questions from Physics and 30 questions from Chemistry.  Each question will be of one mark, while there is no negative marking for any incorrect or unattempted question.

AP POLYCET 2026 Dress Code

Following the AP POLYCET dress code guidelines ensures students avoid delays during security checks.

  • What to Wear: Light and comfortable clothes, slippers or sandals with low heels
  • What to Avoid: Clothes with metal parts or large buttons, heavy outfits, jackets, or hoodies, shoes with thick soles, and accessories

Important Exam Day Guidelines

  • Carry your AP POLYCET hall ticket and valid ID proof
  • Do not bring electronic devices like mobile phones or smartwatches
  • Follow all instructions given at the exam centre
  • Maintain discipline inside the exam hall
