The Central University of Punjab is chalking out ways to conduct online examination for the final semester examination through online mode.

The Central University of Punjab is planning to allow students to appear for the final examination online due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown situation.

The University is also planning to allow students to choose their exam dates and time slots from the list of available slots, in order to appear for the examination.

As per the reports, the Central University’s Academic Council has decided to conduct the final semester examination through online mode in order to complete the examination process for the final year students and to avoid any further delay.

R K Kohli, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, has stated that “as per the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the examination branch of the University will be conducting the Final Semester Examinations from July 6, 2020, onwards. The University will also be releasing the examination schedule which will allow students to choose the exam dates and time slots as per their preference.”

In order to avoid any possibility of repetition of questions, the University’s in-house exam system will automatically choose the questions randomly for each student on different days, he added.

As per the reports, the University will be providing the students with two exam time slots in a day from which they can select a preferred time slot. A total of 140 students can appear for the exams in one slot at a time. Those students who will not be able to appear for the exam can appear for the same after the normalcy is restored and the university reopens.
